It's dangerous to think that you only need one copy of your working files. I will have to go through and check to see if they are somehow duplicates of good copies of the items I have on the main drive. It must be in the form of ripped movies I somehow altered. That frees up over 340 GB which is quite a chunk of the SSD. Since I only need one backup copy of files and docs, the safety net file can be trashed. Even a 1TB backup drive can fill up quickly if safety net is turned on. Much thanks to all who helped with the answer. I have mine set to 30 days and it has come in handy when files have gotten deleted or corrupted and i could retrieve a good copy of them. You can turn off safety net or go into the settings and set a limit on how many days you want to keep.
